Preparing for Dumpster Delivery

Dumpster Permit in Philadelphia
& How To Prepare for a Delivery

Are permits required for a dumpster?

Customers are responsible to contact their local township or City to see if a dumpster permit is required.

For example, the City of Philadelphia requires the property owner to have an Equipment Placement Application, which enables the holder to place the container on the street or pavement. This permit is necessary because containers will often block the public right-of-way.

How do I select and prepare a site for the dumpster?

  • Consider the size and type of dumpster you'll be using. Take measurements of the selected site to ensure it can accommodate the dimensions of the dumpster, leaving enough space for safe placement and easy access for loading and unloading., as well as
  • Obtain permits an observe any local regulations or restrictions regarding dumpster placement.
  • Choose a location that provides convenient access for waste disposal while minimizing interference with traffic flow and pedestrian access. The hoist on our truck requires a minimum of 15 feet in height clearance of any branches, utility wires or any structure to deliver and remove our equipment as well as 35 feet of open space to allow the dumpster to roll-off the back of the truck onto your driveway or parking lot.
